I got up as someone took over the merch booth, and saw Gerard. I leaned against a wall and wished I wasn't so socially awkward that I'd be nervous to go say hi.

I smiled, and then my phone rang.

I drive into the parking lot near the entrance to the place. I park and head out to the merch booths. I show the guards my employee ID and they let me in. I go to my booth and the morning shift guy sees me, 'Here for the mid-day shift?' he asks me. I nod and we switch places. I stand there and wait for people to buy shit.

I run my hand through my hair, tears starting to fall from my eyes. I needed him to know how much I fucking love him. I hated that no matter what he did, I still blamed myself. He was always just so perfect, regardless of what he or other people thought. They never knew him like I did. They didn't know the Patrick that peed on guys cars for calling me a dyke. They would never know that Patrick.
